Go online to give kudos to Albany City staff for work well done
The City of Albany has a new way to recognize City staff for excellent service to residents, customers, or coworkers.
The online kudos form, accessible from any device with internet access, provides space to let the City know about someone who has done the right thing in the right way to solve a problem or provide help to someone. Users can access the feature directly on the City homepage, www.cityofalbany.net/kudos, or by going to the Report menu; it’s the second item in the drop-down list.
“Kudos” comes from the 19th century Greek word meaning “fame and renown resulting from an act or achievement” or “praise given for an achievement.”
A paper option is also available; ask at a public service counter at City buildings where the table tents are displayed.
City Manager Peter Troedsson delivers the kudos to the recognized employees and their supervisors.
The kudos forms replace a paper “praise coupon,” which had been in use since the early 1990s.
