***DANA, NOBODY FIGHTS ALONE***
How many of you have been impacted by cancer in your life; family members, relatives, friends. We all have at some point in our lives. Well, that’s no different for us here at the Red Oak Police Department and the City of Red Oak. We have recently learned of unfortunate news that our City Secretary, Dana Argumaniz; we absolutely love her, has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. As an organization, we wanted to reach back into her life and positively impact her by doing a fund raiser for cancer research; in particular Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and also to help defray some of her medical bills as she fights this insidious disease that is affecting her family and all of us in the City that hold her so dear to us. So we have devised some motivation to encourage our staff, our City departments and our Community to reach back and give a little bit of themselves to Dana while she fights this disease.
So the challenge is, we are encouraging people to donate to the American Cancer Society at https://www.crowdrise.com/o/en/campaign/dana-nobody-fights-alone or make a donation to the Red Oak Police Association (Venmo Account: @RedOakPoliceAssoc) or the Red Oak Fire Association (Venmo Account: @RedOak-Firefighters) in the name of Dana Argumaniz to help defray and offset some of her medical bills. We absolutely love her, we feel compelled to do this. It means a lot to us to give back to her for everything that she has done for us on a daily basis. We are going to stand in solidarity with her and to prove that, with all of the chemotherapy that she is going through and all the treatments and how ill she feels and as we all know; that kind of treatment causes you to lose your hair.
So we have decided to have a little parity with her and the person that makes the largest donation to her medical bills or to the Cancer Research will have the opportunity to shave the Chief of Police’s head. Unfortunately that is me, but that is ok and we want you to reach down and find a little bit inside of yourselves to give back to cancer research and hopefully maybe a little back to Dana as well as we stand with her and help her fight this disease and you get to come back and shave my head. So we are going to encourage you to accept this challenge and help Dana out with her bills and make some significant strides in cancer research. So we want you to look the links listed below:
