Good Wednesday afternoon! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 6/12/18.

-Evening Tower Rd at West Houston, Levelland: Traffic Complaint. A deputy responded to a report of a possible intoxicated drive on a UTV in the area. The area was checked, including along Evening Tower between FM 300 and Houston. The individual was not located.

-Veretto Rd at Hwy 114, Levelland: Reckless Driver. A deputy was dispatched to the area related to a complaint of a reckless driver. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located.

-2300 blk Hwy 385, Levelland: Assist Agency. Deputies were asked to assist in locating a runaway juvenile who was possibly in the area. The area was checked and the juvenile was not at the location. Deputies were advised the juvenile was later located.

-3900 blk Kingfisher Rd, Assist EMS. A deputy was notified of a medical issue at a residence in the area. When the deputy arrived he was notified one individual was deceased. The Justice of the Peace was notified and deputies assisted with an investigation. There were no criminal issues identified and the incident is considered closed at this time.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow up activities.

Jail population as of 0800 hours on 6/13/18: 49 in Hockley County, 6 to be processed, 31 out of county.
