Downtown-Area Water Outage
Las Cruces utility customers in the downtown area of east Hadley and Las Cruces avenues, and north Church and north Main streets, will experience a water outage, possible low water pressure, and/or discolored water between 8 p.m. and midnight on Thursday, June 14, while City crews exercise valves in preparation for future water tie-ins.
Customers may notice discolored water due to iron and manganese. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear.
The discoloration should disappear within 24-hours. If it does not, residents should flush outside faucets or cold-water faucets for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the City at 526-0500 for assistance.
