Gas leak in the 100 block of South Meridian. Evacuation of 300 feet for residence has taken place. Stay out of the area. 
Belle Plaine Fire was called to a cut gas line at 6:00 p.m.. in the 100 block of S. Meridian Street. The line has not been able to be capped by CenterPoint Energy as of 10:30 p.m.. crews are actively working to remedy the cut line.
