Two Arrested for Illegal Possession of Narcotics
(Etowah County, Alabama) Two individuals have been arrested in connection to the possession of illegal narcotics, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Van William Hill, 48, and Kayla Larae Powell, 25, both of Gadsden, are each charged with one count of drug trafficking and one count of possession of a controlled substance, both are felonies,” deputy Josh Gaskin said. They each also face a parole violation.
The duo was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics (cocaine and methamphetamine) and pills during a traffic stop, conducted by Deputy Gaskin, at the intersection of Wall Street and Sansom Avenue.
Both suspects were booked into the Etowah County Detention Center without bond.
