Newberry County Coroner’s Office along with the South Carolina Highway Patrol and South Carolina State Transport are investigating a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Friday June 15, 2018 at approximately 11:10 am on SC 34 two miles east of Silverstreet Road in Newberry County.
Coroner Laura Kneece, has identified the driver as 24 year old, Thomas Young Coleman of Saluda, South Carolina. An autopsy was performed this morning, June 16, 2018. Mr. Coleman died of Multiple Blunt Force Injuries due to Motor Vehicle Collision. There was no evidence revealing that Mr. Coleman was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
This incident remains under investigation South Carolina Highway Patrol and State Transport Police.
