* Until 730 AM CDT
* At 432 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain which will cause flooding across an already saturated area of northwest Wisconsin.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Spooner, Park Falls, Hayward, Chippewa Flowage, Phillips, Shell Lake, Grantsburg, Round Lake, Trego, Fifield, Trade Lake, Siren, Ogema, Prentice, Webster, Stone Lake, Birchwood, Winter, Webb Lake Wisconsin, and Spirit. Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the warned area.
* AFFECTED AREAS: BURNETT ... PRICE ... SAWYER ... WASHBURN
Instructions:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots. A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
