Homicide Investigation
On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at approximately 11:38 p.m., Torrance Police Officers responded to the parking lot of Home Depot located at 24451 Crenshaw Boulevard regarding shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers began life-saving measures which included CPR and the use of a defibrillator. The victim was transported to a local hospital; however, was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Investigators are currently on scene conducting a follow-up investigation, and are working to identify the suspect(s) involved.
The identity of the victim is pending confirmation by investigators, as well as notification to next of kin.
It does not appear that this investigation will impede traffic conditions.
