Flash Flood Watch until 01:00PM Thursday

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON FOR MUCH OF SOUTH TEXAS... .Plentiful tropical moisture due to a mid level and surface trough over the area has produced areas of heavy rainfall. Persistent heavy rainfall has resulted in significant flooding across the region. Most of the region has already received 5 to 10 inches with isolated higher amounts of rain over the last couple of days, allowing our soils to fully saturate. Any additional rainfall tonight and tomorrow morning would quickly lead to flash flooding and river flooding. ...FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON... * Additional amounts of 1 to 3 inches can be expected across the Coastal Bend and Victoria Crossroads area tonight through Thursday afternoon. As with nearly all flash flood events, locally higher amounts can be expected.
