High Visibility Enforcement
On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, between 7:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., the Torrance Police Department conducted an HVE operation on Palos Verdes Boulevard between Sepulveda Boulevard and the southern city limit. Several motor officers focused on “Accident Hot Spots” and devoted their time to educating the community.
A second HVE operation was conducted on Del Amo Boulevard between Maple Avenue and Western Avenue. This operation began at 4:00 p.m. and concluded at 6:30 p.m.
The Torrance Police Department is committed to traffic safety through education, visibility and enforcement in an effort to decrease traffic collisions and save lives.

28 drivers were cited for SPEEDING (one in excess of 80 mph)
3 drivers were cited for USING THEIR CELL PHONES
1 driver was cited for a RED LIGHT VIOLATION
