VICTIM: Confidential

SUMMARY:

On Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 5:05 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station were asked to assist a neighboring law enforcement agency in locating suspect, Brandon Emerson. According to officers at Redlands Police Department, Emerson was believed to be on his way to his residence in the 9500 block of Mono Road in Victorville with his 8-year-old son. The child’s mother said Emerson took him from her and made threats towards both his own safety and the child’s safety.

Deputies arrived at the residence, and with the assistance of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Departments Aviation Division, set up a perimeter on the house. Emerson came outside and was walking around his yard with his son when he was taken into custody without incident. Emerson was not armed at the time of arrest and the child had not been harmed.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence. During the service of the search warrant deputies located firearms, multiple vials of anabolic steroids, liquid steroids, a large amount of U.S. currency, narcotics paraphernalia, and packaging items consistent with the sale of narcotics. By evidence located within the residence, investigators believe Emerson had been manufacturing and distributing the controlled substance.

Emerson was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sales. Emerson’s was booked at the High Desert Detention Center and his bail was set at $50,000.00.

The child abduction investigation is being handled by Redlands Police Department. The child was safely returned to his mother.
