SUSPECT: Julio Cesar Garcia-Gurrola, 27-year-old San Jose resident
On June 14, 2018, at approximately 9:17 P.M., a Milpitas Police Department officer received an anonymous tip that Julio Garcia-Gurrola was staying at the Best Value Inn and had several active warrants for his arrest. One of the warrants was for a violation of parole for burglary from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The three (3) remaining warrants were from the San Jose Police Department with bail amounts totaling $340,000 for charges including: a felon in possession of a firearm, a felon in possession of ammunition, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with a suspended license. Garcia-Gurrola was found at the hotel and arrested for the warrant, and he was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
