* TEMPERATURE...Afternoon high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s. Heat index values are expected to reach the 105 to 110 degree range. The highest heat indexes will occur during the mid to late afternoon hours Thursday. Overnight low temperatures will only fall into the middle to upper 70s.
* IMPACTS...The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will lead to an increased risk of heat-related stress and illness. The very young, the elderly, those without air conditioning, and those participating in strenuous outdoor activities will be the most susceptible.
