As a local firework stand has set up shop in Humansville please be reminded that fireworks can be discharged from within the city limits from 8 a.m. till 10 p.m. through July 7th. Fireworks however cannot be discharged in the main business district, most notably the area of Ohio Street. Be respectful of your neighbors and observe the 10 p.m. limit, anyone wishing to make a complaint of fireworks after that time will need to call Polk County Central Dispatch at 417 777-3911 to request an officer. Most importantly please observe children while they use age-appropriate fireworks and everyone be safe!
