Boating Accident Sends One to Hospital
Sheriff Richard Behnke reports that deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a boating accident on Big Fish Lake in Cass County's Marcellus Township on 6-30-18 at 8:50am. Investigation of the accident showed that a boat driven by Michael Mondovich (55 yrs of Granger, IN) had lost control and struck a pier and two boats. It appears that Mr. Mondovich had suffered a severe medical condition and lost consciousness causing the boat to go out of control. Witnesses and First Responders performed CPR on Mr. Mondovich on scene. Mr. Mondovich was transported to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital via PrideCare Ambulance. Assisting on scene were Marcellus Ambulance and Fire Department. The accident remains under investigation
