Have a Safe and Fun 4th of July!

Eustis Police would like to remind everyone that while having fun celebrating our Independence Day on Wednesday July 4th, we need to remember that under Florida law, only sparklers, approved by the Florida Division of State Fire Marshal, are legal for consumer usage. It is illegal for the recreational use of exploding and/or flying fireworks in Florida, which include shells and mortars, multiple tube devices, roman candles, bottle rockets and firecrackers.

Therefore, any violation of Florida Statute 791 is a misdemeanor offense and our officers who respond to calls of fireworks will investigate and enforce the law.
