Fire crews have stopped the Boca Fire at about 2 acres. Crews have a line around the fire and are mopping up.
Fire crews have stopped the Boca Fire at about 2 acres. Crews have a line around the fire and are mopping up. 
Fire crews from the Tahoe National Forest, Cal Fire and Truckee Fire were able to get a line around the fire, that started at around 2:30 today near Boca Dam, and hold it at around 2 acres. Helicopter 514 from Cal Fire was able to drop water on the fire from a bucket and support the crews on the ground.
This fire was likely started by shooters in the shooting range and is a good reminder that shooting can start fires, especially this time of year with dry fuels.
