Good Tuesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Monday, 7/2/18.

-900 blk Avenue B, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies assisted in locating a wanted subject who ran into a residence in the area. The individual had an active felony warrant and was later taken into custody. The individual was transported to the Hockley County Detention Center and booked on two charges.

-Hwy 385 at FM 1585, Levelland: Vehicle Crash. Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash at the intersection. Troopers arrived to conduct the crash investigation and deputies assisted on scene as needed.

-2300 blk E. Ellis, Levelland: Animal Complaint. A deputy was notified of a complaint of a loose dog attacking chickens. The area was checked and no dogs were located. Deputies will continue to look for the dogs and identify the owner.

-1900 blk College Ave, Levelland: A deputy was dispatched to assist Sundown PD with an individual at the ER. The deputy assisted until the individual was transported to the jail and booked.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Civil Issue. A deputy spoke with an individual regarding a civil issue involving child custody. Civil remedies were advised related to the custody issue.

-100 blk Lakeview, Levelland: Harassment. A deputy was dispatched to a residence in the area related to harassment. After speaking with the complainant, the matter was determined to be civil in nature and was provided appropriate civil remedies. No offense was reported.

-100 blk W. Stanolind, Sundown: Assist Sundown PD. A deputy was dispatched to assist Sundown PD with an individual in custody. The individual was later transported to the Detention Center.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail population as of 7/3/18 at 0800 hours: 53 in Hockley County, 3 to be processed, 27 out of county.
