Enhancements Coming Soon for Paying City Utilities Bills
The first stage of enhancements to the most popular method of paying City utility bills is coming soon.
Next week, from July 9 to July 13, the City of Las Cruces will change to a new vendor for processing of utility payments through the City’s website Citizen Self Service.
After selecting a bill, or bills, to pay and the amount, City utilities customers will be redirected to a website hosted by Paymentus, instead of Official Payments. There, customers will enter credit card information. Customers will also have a new eCheck option to pay directly from their checking or savings account.
With this change, American Express credit cards will no longer be accepted. However, VISA and Mastercard debit and credit cards, and Discover credit cards, will still be accepted.
