Newark has a Zero Tolerance policy on illegal fireworks.
On July 4th between the hours of 6PM and Midnight, the Newark Police Department will have live operators manning an illegal fireworks hotline.
Please direct all fireworks related phone calls during that time frame to this number: 1-866-520-7233.
Prior to 6PM please direct illegal fireworks calls to the non-emergency Police Dispatch number:

Please DO NOT CALL 911 with illegal fireworks related issues. Please help us keep the 911 number available for emergency calls.
