Palmer Subdivision Planned Water Outage
Residents and businesses in the following areas will experience a water outage for approximately four hours beginning at 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 5 for a water main tie-in: Brownlee Avenue from 1st Street to 6th Street; 4th Street from McFie Avenue to Van Patten Avenue and 3th Street from McFie Avenue to Van Patten Avenue. Adjacent areas also may be affected by the outage.
Once service is restored, water may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear.
The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, flush all faucets for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the City at 526-0500 for assistance.
