Advisory

4th of July - Mistlin Sports Park Parking Exit Plan

In order to expedite vehicles out of The Mistlin Sports Park after the 4th of July Fireworks show the department has instituted the following exit plan.

Please note that vehicles parked in specific areas of the park will be required to exit the park through predetermined exit points.

Vehicles parked in area 1 (northwest dirt lot) will exit the park onto N. Jack Tone Rd. and travel north.

Vehicles parked in area 2 (southwest dirt lot) will exit the park onto N. Jack Tone Rd. and travel south.

Vehicles parked in area 3 (southwest dirt lot) will exit the park onto River Rd. and travel east.

Vehicles parked in the handicap parking area (River Rd. parking lot) will exit the park onto River Rd. and travel east.

Once the fireworks show is over vehicular traffic will be restricted in the area to outgoing traffic only. Roadways leading into the park will be temporarily closed. Vehicles driving over curbs or into cordoned off areas will be required to wait until the traffic is mitigated prior to being moved out of the area and could be issued a citation.

All roads will be reopened once vehicle traffic is cleared from the park.

In most cases, the department is able to get the 1500+ vehicles contained within the park, directed out of the park in approximately 35-50 minutes. Your patience is appreciated and willingness to follow direction from our staff directing traffic will help us all have a safe and happy Independence Day Celebration.
