Full Notification

On July 5^th, 2018 at approximately 5:09 AM the Middle Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 47 in the Rio Grande Section of the Township.  The investigation revealed Sadie Faulkner, age 17 of Rio Grande, was driving a 2000 Plymouth Neon west bound on State Highway 47 in the area of milepost 2.1.  Faulkner lost control of the vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and strike a utility pole as well as 2 trees before coming to a rest.  Faulkner passed as result of the crash.  The Middle Township Police Fatal Crash Team and Major Crimes Unit is handling the investigation which is ongoing.  Also assisting on scene were the Rio Grande Fire Department, Middle Township EMS and the New Jersey DOT.
