The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued an

We also encourage the public to enjoy indoor attractions such as the Burbank Town Center Mall, and/or local movie theaters, which offer temperature-controlled environments.

Seniors ages 55 and older can visit the Burbank Joslyn Adult Center to escape the heat, which is located at 1301 W. Olive Ave. Weekend hours are as follows:

Saturday.....................9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Sunday.......................10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency - call 911.
