7-Eleven Robber Arrested
On Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at about 4:30 AM, Torrance Police Patrol Officers arrested an individual suspected of robbing multiple 7-Eleven convenience stores in the area. Officers initially responded to a call of a robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 20521 Western Avenue at approximately 4:20 AM. The suspect fled the scene leaving behind a pellet gun and mask.
Ten minutes later, the same suspect, now armed with a knife, committed a second robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 1730 Sepulveda Boulevard. Responding Officers ultimately found the suspect who was sitting in his vehicle nearby the business. The arrestee is identified as Anthony Leon, 18 yrs of San Pedro.
Investigators believe this suspect may be connected to additional 7-Eleven convenience store robberies. On Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at approximately 4:20 AM, a suspect robbed the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 18203 Western Avenue. Armed with a knife, the suspect stole cash from the registers.
