CITY OF SIMI VALLEY WILL OPEN SENIOR CENTER AS A COOLING CENTER FRIDAY & SATURDAY FOR EXTREME HEAT EVENT 
In response to the forecasted extreme heat event occurring during the next several days, the City of Simi Valley has designated the Simi Valley Senior Center as a Cooling Center. The City encourages seniors and any others who may be at risk due to the extreme heat or temporary loss of electricity, to consider the Cooling Center when seeking refuge from the heat.
On Friday, July 6, 2018 the Cooling Center will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 7, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Dial-A-Ride transportation to and from the Cooling Center is available to Cooling Center participants on both days by calling Simi Valley Transit at 1(805) 583-6464.
