Good Friday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Thursday, 7/5/18.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Warrant Service. A deputy met with jail staff related to an individual with a warrant who came to the LEC. The individual was taken into custody and booked into the Detention Center.

-Hwy 114 at Hwy 385, Levelland: Civil Issue. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a civil complaint over child custody. Civil remedies were advised, and no offenses were reported.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Theft. A deputy spoke with an individual by telephone regarding a possible stolen vehicle offense. The complainant stated he would get the information together to get a report filed on 7/6/18.

-800 blk Avenue H, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. Deputies responded to assist with a fight reported in the area. Deputies assisted on scene as needed and the investigation was handled by the PD.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, civil process service, and investigative follow-up activities.

Jail population as of 7/6/18 at 0800 hours: 51 in Hockley County, 4 to be processed, and 26 out of county.
