During the early morning hours of Sunday July 8, 2018 San Luis Obispo Police Officers responded to a residence in the 0-100 blk of Los Palos regarding a sexual assault that just occurred. When officers arrived, the suspect was no longer inside the residence or in the area. The female victim who is in her 20’s told officers shortly before calling police she awakened to a male unknown to her, in her bedroom. The male suspect was holding a sharp object and threatened to harm her if she screamed. The suspect sexually assaulted her and fled from the residence.
Officers extensively searched the area for the suspect and he was not located. Evidence was collected from the crime scene and will be processed at a later date. During the investigation it was determined the suspect likely made entry into the residence through an unlocked door.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male in his late 30’s, 5’-5”, 150 lbs, dark short hair and black t-shirt.
