...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING... ...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM TO 8 PM EDT WEDNESDAY... The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality in Raleigh NC has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone for the Charlotte Region, in effect until 8 PM EDT this evening. Another Code Orange Ozone Air Quality Alert will be in effect from 10 AM to 8 PM EDT Wednesday. An Air Quality Action Day means that Ground Level Ozone concentrations within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.
