Good Tuesday afternoon! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Friday, 7/13/18, through Monday, 7/16/18.

7/13/18

-300 blk Duggan, Anton: Civil Issue. A deputy responded to a residence regarding a civil matter involving a vehicle. No offenses were reported, and civil remedies were advised to all parties.

-800 blk N. Hwy 385, Levelland: Suspicious Vehicle. A deputy was dispatched to attempt to locate a suspicious vehicle in the area. The area was checked and the vehicle with the description provided was not located. No additional calls were received.

-FM 168 at Hwy 114, Smyer: Reckless Driver. A deputy responded to attempt to locate a reported reckless driver in the area on FM 168. The area was checked and the vehicle was not located.

-3100 blk Blackgold Rd, Levelland: Harassment. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a possible harassment complaint due to repeated phone calls. Information was collected, and the individual blocked the number.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Civil Issue. A deputy spoke with an individual regarding a civil matter over residency. Civil remedies were advised to parties and no offenses were reported.

-FM 300 at FM 303, Levelland: 911 Hang-Up. A deputy was dispatched to the area regarding a 911 call. The area was checked and the property owner was contacted. No offenses or issues were reported. The call was due to a phone line issue.

7/14/18

-300 blk Drew Drive, Opdyke: Intoxicated Subject. A deputy was dispatched to a disturbance in the area. An intoxicated individual was contacted and was later arrested for Public Intoxication. The individual was transported and booked into the Detention Center without incident.

-500 bllk Santa Fe, Anton: Theft. A deputy met with a complainant regarding a theft of a card reader from a gas pump in the area. Information for a report was taken and the matter is under investigation.

-6900 blk Elephant Rd, Smyer: Check Welfare. A deputy was dispatched to check welfare of an individual at a residence in the area. The resident was contacted and there were no issues observed. The caller was not at the location when deputies arrived.

-3200 blk FM 300, Levelland: Loose Livestock. A deputy responded to the area related to a complaint of loose horses. The owners were located and the horses were secured.

-6400 blk Colorado Rd, Smyer: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a verbal disturbance at a residence in the area. All parties advised the incident was verbal only, and no offenses were reported. Parties were separated for the night.

-6800 blk Hwy 114, Smyer: Disturbance. Deputies responded to a reported disturbance at a residence. The incident was verbal only; however, a report was taken related to the call. The incident is under investigation.

-300 blk College, Levelland: Assist Levelland PD. A deputy responded to assist with a disturbance in the area. The PD handled the investigation and the deputy assisted while parties were separated.

7/15/18

-800 blk Chickadee, Levelland: Terroristic Threat. A deputy was dispatched to meet with an individual related to a threat report. The matter was determined not to be criminal in nature and civil remedies were advised. No threats were made.

-500 blk Main St, Ropesville: Theft. A deputy responded to meet with an individual related to a stolen vehicle. The individual stated someone known to her took her vehicle without consent. The incident is under investigation and a report was taken.

-6800 blk Hwy 114, Smyer: Civil Issue. A deputy was requested to standby while an individual collected property from a residence. The incident was civil in nature. No offenses were reported.

-100 blk FM 3261, Levelland: Criminal Mischief. A deputy met with a complainant regarding damage to a fence that was struck by a vehicle. A trooper arrived on scene to investigate the hit-and-run crash.

-US 62/82 at Parrot Rd, Ropesville: Fire. Deputies responded to assist with a reported grass fire in the area. Fire crews extinguished the fire.

-800 blk Chickadee Rd, Levelland: Criminal Mischief. A deputy met with a complainant regarding damage done to a vehicle. Information for a report was taken and the matter is being investigated.

-500 blk Tim, Levelland: Check Welfare. A deputy responded to locate an individual to check welfare. The juvenile was located and was transported to her a family member in Anton. No offenses were reported.

7/16/18

-100 blk Edwards, Anton: Assist EMS. A deputy responded to assist EMS with a call for assistance. No offenses were reported and EMS provided necessary assistance.

-2000 blk E. Ellis, Levelland: Fire. A deputy was dispatched to the area related to a fire. The fire was located and extinguished.

-2100 blk Hummingbird Rd, Levelland: Disturbance. A deputy responded to a reported disturbance at a residence in the area. One individual was taken into custody for Terroristic Threat and transported to the Detention Center. The individual also caused intentional damage to a patrol vehicle, and a report was taken related to the criminal mischief offense. The individual was booked into the Detention Center without further incident.

-200 blk East 1st St, Sundown: Disturbance. A deputy responded to a disturbance at a residence in the area. The issue was determined to be verbal only, and the individual was issued a criminal trespass warning for the residence at the request of the homeowner. No offenses were reported.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, and investigative follow up activities.
