Full Notification

Evansville Police are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in the 1000 block of Washington Ave. Officers were called to the scene just after 4:00am for a possible overdose. Crews from EFD and AMR were also dispatched.
Once on scene, it was determined the man had a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Investigators have spoken with several people who were at the scene when they arrived, but are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call EPD or WeTip.
