National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Bates County until 3:15pm.
At 2:43 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located near Urich, or 11 miles east of Garden City, moving southeast at 25 mph.
Hazards expected ping pong size hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph.
A weather watch indicates the potential for severe or damaging weather conditions.
