2017 Uniform Crime Report available. Index Crime drops 2.5% from 2016. 
Today, the 2017 OSBI Uniform Crime Report became available. This data is compiled from monthly crime and arrest reports sent to the OSBI from 327 Oklahoma sheriffs offices and police departments. Seven offenses (index crimes) are reported by these agencies, divided into two categories: violent crimes and non-violent crimes. The violent crimes are murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault while the non-violent crimes are burglary, larceny (theft) and auto theft. While violent crime rose 2.1% from 2016, non-violent crime decreased 3.2% and index crime decreased 2.5%.
