HMPD Officers Arrest Man for Robbery 
On Friday, July 21, 2018, at approximately 9:20pm, Hope Mills Police Officers responded to the Traemoor Village Shopping Center in reference to a subject in the area that had assaulted several individuals and, had robbed another victim of her wallet. Upon arrival, Officers saw the suspect, later identified as Andrew Thomas Brown, 25, of the 3600 block of Quarter Horse Run, Parkton running away on foot from the scene. Officers gave chase, and Brown was captured in the area of Stoney Point Elementary School with the assistance of Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies. Brown was transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he was jailed for the following charges:
1 Count of Felony Common Law Robbery
2 Counts of Misdemeanor Simple Assault
1 Count of Misdemeanor Drunk and Disruptive
1 Count of Misdemeanor Resisting a Police Officer
