INCIDENT: DISCHARGING FIREARM IN NEGLIGENT MANNER
LOCATION: 12000 block of Oasis Road, Phelan
SUSPECT: Chad Thompson, 28 years of age, of Phelan
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, June 21, 2018, the suspect, Chad Thompson, and his girlfriend were drinking alcoholic beverages. The two got into an argument and Thompson’s girlfriend walked away from the residence. Thompson went outside with a handgun and fired three shots into the air.
Deputies were called to the scene by area neighbors who heard the gunfire. Deputy Jeff Henry investigated the incident and arrested Chad Thompson for discharging a firearm in a negligent manner. Thompson was booked at High Desert Detention Center and was later released on a bail bond.
