Traffic stop leads to arrest of Patoka man for driving on a suspended license.

On July 24, 2018, at 10:18 p.m. Sergeant Bruce Vanoven conducted a traffic stop on a Red 1984 Honda Three Wheeler for disregarding a stop sign at the intersection of Main and Grave Street in Patoka. Upon approaching the vehicle Sgt Vanoven identified the driver as 22 year old Walker Bray of Patoka. During a roadside investigation Sgt. Vanoven ran Mr. Bray through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that his driver’s license had been suspended on a prior driving while suspended charge. At that point Sgt. Vanoven placed Mr. Bray in custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Bray was charged with Driving While Suspended/Prior. He remains in custody on a $650 bond.

Assisting Sgt. Vanoven in his investigation was Special Deputy Zach Lienemann.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
