Good Wednesday morning! The following are calls for service and activities for the Sheriff’s Office for Tuesday, 7/24/18.

-3000 blk FM 300, Levelland: Theft. A business in the area reported a theft of multiple vehicle batteries. A report was taken and the matter is under investigation. Evidence is being collected by investigators.

-1310 Avenue H, LEC: Harassment. A deputy spoke with a complainant regarding a harassment complaint. The caller stated she would meet with a deputy on 7/25/18 in person to complete the report.

-3900 blk FM 303, Levelland: Suspicious Activity. A deputy was dispatched to a business in the area after a vehicle was observed parked on the property on security video. Deputies arrived and located the vehicle. The property was searched and no one was located in or around the property. The information was documented, and no offenses were reported at the time. A company representative arrived on scene and information was collected.

-3200 blk Quail Rd, Smyer: Disturbance. A deputy responded to a reported disturbance at a residence. Parties on scene were found to be intoxicated, and no offenses were reported. The incident was handled by separation as a deputy transported one of the parties to another residence.

Deputies also conducted close patrols/vacation watches, patrols in all areas of the county, investigative follow-up activities, and civil process service.

Jail population as of 7/25/18 at 0800 hours: 52 in Hockley County, 4 to be processed, 46 out of county.
