The Milford Police Department has been alerted that a scam has been targeting Milford residents and businesses. Callers are claiming to Utility Companies and are demanding immediate payment or service will be cut off. The callers then advise that they will only accept money cards and not to tell anyone.

Please do not act upon these calls. If you have any concerns with your utility services call the utility company directly with the publicly listed telephone number. Do not call back the numbers given by the scammers. Area codes of 260 and 765 have been associated with this latest scam.
