Palmer Subdivision Planned Water Outage
Residents and business in the Palmer Subdivision will experience a four-hour water outage beginning at 10 p.m. Thursday, July 26, for a water main tie-in.
The impacted are is 4th Street from Hadley Avenue to Van Patten Avenue. 3th Street from Hadley Avenue to McFie Avenue. McFie Avenue from 3rd Street to 6th Street and 5th Street from Hadley Avenue to McFie Avenue. Adjacent areas also may be affected by the outage.
Once service is restored, water may appear discolored due to iron, manganese and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting to wash laundry until after the water becomes clear.
The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, flush all faucets in for five minutes. If the discoloration remains, call the City at 526-0500 for assistance.
