Ferguson Fire: Fallen Fire Fighter, procession to begin at 3:30pm

It is with deep sadness that Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office can confirm that this morning while battling the Ferguson Fire on the Sierra National Forest, a Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park firefighter suffered a fatal injury. At this time no additional details are available.
The firefighter will be escorted to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s office in Modesto California today at 3:30pm.
We would like to invite the citizens and visitors of Maripsoa County to line the streets of Mariposa in honor and support of the firefighter and our public safety partners. The procession will begin at the Mariposa Airport and continue down Highway 49N turning right on Highway 140 through the town of Mariposa. Highway 140 to Left on Plainsburg, Right on Childs, Left on Mission to Freeway 99, Mitchell Rd Exit to El Vista, Oakdale Rd and finally arriving at 921 Oakdale Rd.
