Ripon Police Department collecting supplies for Carr Fire Aid 
If you were looking for a way to help our Northern California communities hit by the Carr Fire, here is an opportunity.
The Ripon Police Department and Ripon Consolidated Fire District will be accepting donations at the police department, 259 N. Wilma Ave., on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM through 6:00 PM. There will be a white cargo trailer in the police department parking lot that items will get directly loaded into.
Donated items will be transported to Shasta County and dispersed through the Salvation Army and Red Bluff Vineyard Church. Items that are being accepted are (Please note that all items must be new in original packaging):
- Pillows and Blankets
- Water and Sports Drinks
- T-shirts, socks, and underwear (for all sizes and genders)
- Toiletries
- Diapers & baby wipes
- Cots
- Gift cards (gas, food, groceries)
Off-duty staff will be driving the items to Shasta County on Thursday morning, in their personal vehicles/trailer, to ensure that the items get there in a timely manner.
