On Monday July 30th the Johnson County Sheriff's Office took two vehicle theft reports and one theft from a vehicle in White River Township (Northwest Johnson County). One vehicle (Brockton Manor) was taken from an open garage, and the other (Mount Pleasant addition) from outside the home. The theft from the vehicle occurred on Berry Road. Several Johnson County police agencies are experiencing these same problems. The Sheriff's Office is reminding homeowners to secure your valuables. Do not leave keys in the ignition or close by the vehicle. Do not leave guns or other valuables in your vehicle outside the residence during the evening hours. Report any suspicious activity to your local law enforcement agency. If you see something say something. Day or night!
