On 08/01/18 the DEP will commence waterfowl dispersal activities using pyrotechnics around the Kensico Reservoir area. 
The noise will sound similar to fireworks. This non- lethal program is designed to reduce fecal bacteria levels in the water. The program will begin at 8 a.m. and continue up to 1.5 hours after sunset.
