* Until 315 AM EDT
* At 119 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain moving across the advisory area, which may produce minor flooding. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen, and another inch to inch and a half of rain is expected by 315 AM.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Lexington, Thomasville, Kernersville, Clemmons, Bermuda Run, Linwood and Huntsville.
* AFFECTED AREAS: DAVIDSON, NC ... RANDOLPH, NC ... FORSYTH, NC ... GUILFORD, NC
Instructions:
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of floods and flash floods. If flash flooding is observed act quickly. Move up to higher ground to escape flood waters. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when water begins rising.
