A steady stream of tropical moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and a series of upper level disturbances will combine forces to bring a prolonged period of off and on stormy weather to Central Alabama. The National Weather Service in Birmingham has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include a portion of central Alabama, including the following areas, Bibb, Blount, Dallas, Jefferson, and Perry.

* Through Thursday evening

* Repeated heavy rain from thunderstorms expected over the next two days may lead to periodic flash flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: PERRY ... DALLAS ... BLOUNT ... BIBB ... JEFFERSON

Instructions:

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
