SUSPECT #4: 15-year-old male Menlo Park resident
SUSPECT VEHICLE: Black 2003 Honda Accord 2-door coupe
On July 30, 2018, at approximately 12:59 a.m., an alert resident called the Milpitas Police Department to report three (3) suspicious males shining flashlights into cars parked on Washington Drive. When officers arrived on scene, the males ran away. As officers searched the neighborhood, the males ran from the front yard of a home and to a black 2003 Honda Accord that was parked further down the street. The Honda Accord sped away and struck a street sign nearby, but officers were able to stop the car and arrest the four (4) occupants. Darius Gipson was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for prowling, hit & run, and possession of a burglary tool. Isaiah Norton was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for prowling. Suspect #3 and Suspect #4 were issued citations for prowling and curfew violation, and they were released to their parents. We continue to encourage our residents to call the police department to report suspicious behavior and criminal activity. Working in partnership with our community members will continue to have a positive impact on crime and the quality of life for our residents.
