SCAM Phone Calls 
Today several residents of Fayette County reported being called by a male who identified himself as Lt. Jones with our agency. This fraudster told the residents they missed court and must pay a fine to avoid arrest.
Our deputies will not call and request payment for fines over the phone and definitely would not ask to be paid via gift card.
Never go to CVS or other stores to purchase gift cards or pre-paid cards at the request of someone pretending to be law enforcement.
