35th Annual National Night Out: August 7, 2018

Rutherford is joining cities nationwide for "America's Night Out Against Crime". This is a night were the community members of Rutherford will stand together along with the Rutherford Police Department and serval other law enforcement agencies to promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in our fight to build a safer and more knowledgeable community. Turn on your porch light tonight and join your community in Lincoln Park.

When you come to Lincoln Park tonight between 6 PM and 9 PM you will be greeted by various emergency personnel from local and out of town agencies for a FREE evening of fun for all ages. There will be rides, a DJ and fun food type refreshments for your families entertainment.

Inside the park you will have the opportunity to learn more about the Rutherford Volunteer Ambulance Corp. at their recruiting table. Additionally you will have an opportunity to learn about the Rutherford Volunteer Fire Department : Ladies Auxiliary from the women firsthand at their table. And that is not all, there will be 20+ organizational/club/agency tables for you to tour. Many of which will provide free giveaways.

Inside of the Gazebo, the Rutherford Recreation Department will have a face painter available. Make sure to check out her talent!

Our only request is that you do not forget the #HUNGRYHUMVEE. The Rutherford Police Department will place their Humvee on Lincoln Avenue as a collection point for the Rutherford Community Pantry. Let's STUFF THE HUNGRY HUMVEE!
