The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce it will be hosting a county-wide job fair on Saturday September 8, 2018, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The event will take place in the large grass area in front of Sheriff’s Office Headquarters, 1350 Norris Road, Bakersfield, California 93308. There will be representatives present from ten Kern County Departments including:
Kern County Sheriff’s Office
Kern County Probation Department
Kern County District Attorney’s Office
Kern County Public Defender’s Office
Kern County Veterans Services
Kern County Department of Human Services
Kern County Library
Kern County Public Works
Kern County Behavioral Health
Kern County Human Resources
Job seekers will be able to speak to the representatives of the various county departments about current job openings, job descriptions and minimum qualifications. Members of the public will also be able to tour the Sheriff’s Office specialized units, and there will be specialized equipment on display courtesy of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team and Bomb Squad.
Parking at Sheriff’s Office Headquarters will be very limited. Additional parking will be available at the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Regional Training Center located at 962 Norris Road, or the parking lot located at 1400 Norris Road, immediately west of Sheriff’s Office Headquarters.
